Each piece is hand crafted and cast from actual plants, using a technique similar to lost-wax casting. Instead of carving a mold, Michael uses an actual leaf, branch or flower in place of the wax model. As the mold is heated, the plant matter burns away, leaving behind a beautiful and exquisite mold of itself. He accentuates each piece with soft patinas on bronze accented with pearls, beads, coral and stones.
